Heather has spent a lifetime immersed in architecture and design. She spent 25 years leading the marketing and communications efforts for an international architecture firm specializing in the design of hospitality experiences, guiding the firm’s marketing, brand identity and voice, simultaneously working with many of the firm’s clients to help develop early brand concepts and the stories behind them. She left in 2017 to pursue her love of storytelling and now works with numerous design clients large and small to help them hone their brand vision + voice. Her first book, THE NEW ARCHITECTURE OF WINE, was published in 2019 and she has subsequently written 2 books with Chase Reynolds Ewald: AT HOME IN THE WINE COUNTRY and DESIGN MIXOLOGY, THE INTERIORS OF TINEKE TRIGGS. A graduate of U.C. Berkeley and the USF Graduate School of Business, Heather lives in Marin County with her husband, 4 children and a dog named Enzo.

Chase Reynolds Ewald has been writing about art, design, food, travel and the American West for 30 years. A writer, editor and consultant, she’s written 16 books, 2 Western Design Conference sourcebooks and hundreds of magazine articles. BISON, PORTRAIT OF AN ICON, one of 6 collaborations with photographer Audrey Hall, is the recipient of 4 awards; their book AMERICAN RUSTIC was named one of the 14 Best Home Books of 2015 by AD. Chase is the author of CLB Architects' INSPIRED BY PLACE, and MODERN AMERICANA with interior designer Max Humphrey Recent titles include RANCHO SISQUOC and BY WESTERN HANDS. With Heather Sandy Hebert Chase co-wrote AT HOME IN THE WINE COUNTRY and DESIGN MIXOLOGY, THE INTERIORS OF TINEKE TRIGGS. A graduate of Yale and U.C. Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, Chase is an enthusiastic cook and traveler, former wrangler, and  western road-trip enthusiast. She lives in Northern California with her husband and 4 daughters.
